I was in the mood for a good breakfast, so I decided to explore Orlando North. I went to The Tennessee Truffle in Sanford. It is a nice, charming place perfect for a party of 1 or a group to sit down and enjoy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It is an open concept, and you can see straight back into the kitchen.
Tennessee TruffleThe first thing I needed was my morning coffee, as always. It was my very first time using a sugar cube, which was really cool. Their Frittata was on special that day. A great meal to get the day started.
Tennessee TruffleThat evening I visited Tuffy's Music Box. This was a perfect place to wind down with a drink. I had to try their old fashion. It was made perfect in a nice glass. They have a beautiful beer garden in the back with lots of room and lights.
Tuffy's Bottle ShopIn the beer garden, you can also find Swine and Sons. I ordered a platter that had fried fish, fried shrimp, and french fries. This is a place you must visit.
Swine and SonsIf you know me, I’m a gamer. I cannot believe I have never been to Arcade Monsters before. This is such a fun place for kids or adults. Fun for the whole family! There is so much to see and do. They have pinball, arcade machines, old and new consoles. As soon as I walked in, I had to try to get the high score on the NBA hoops machine. I didn’t, but trying was so much fun.
Arcade MonstersAfter working up a sweat, I went to the bar to have one of their cool dry ice drinks. These can be made with or without alcohol. They have Nintendo and Sega consoles at the bar so you can continue to game while you have a drink or bite to eat. So if you want something fun to do with the kids or with a group of adults, this is the place to spend hours of fun.
Arcade MonstersJust a few minutes away, my next stop while I Orlando North was to Oviedo Brewing. This is one of my favs to have a beer and bite to eat. Check out the beer flight and beer-battered chicken tenders I had.
Oviedo BrewingThe staff here is so friendly. They checked in on me to get my thoughts on the different beers I tried. They all were so good; I love beer flights because I can try a few different drinks at once.
Oviedo BrewingFor this day exploring Orlando North, I started my day with a visit to Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Café. Hollerbach’s has authentic German food and drinks. I had to go with their giant pretzel known as Riesen Brezen. This has to be the best pretzel I’ve ever had. And, of course, it had to be paired with a beer. The menus they give you are really cool too. Looks like a newspaper.
Hollerbach's Willow Tree CafeMy next stop on my Orlando North visit was to Wop's Hops Brewing. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Cyn, and she is the best! It was my first visit here and it was fun learning so much about Wop's Hops from her. They are Sanford’s first brewery. Their building is 107 years old and the 5th most haunted building in Florida! Cyn helped me pick out beer for my flight, and I loved them all.
Wop's HopsI got hungry so I decided to try the bbq chicken flatbread. It had nice chunks of chicken and went well with my beer.
