Jordan Walker Ross

Itinerary Name:Jordan's Day Trip to Sanford!

Influencer Name: Jordan Walker Ross

Jordan is an actor from Fort Worth, Texas who you might know as Little James on The Chosen or as Mikel in Taylor Sheridan’s western series, 1883. He also happens to have Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis, which led to some pretty vicious bullying as a child and teen. Now, Jordan uses his podcast “What’s Your Limp?” in an attempt to reach others who might be going through something similar and to encourage them to love their “limps” – whether they’re physical or internal.

Lake Mary and Sanford

My wife, three kids and I are planning to take a trip to Orlando sometime this Fall. While we plan on making the usual stops at the theme parks in South Orlando, we want to take a day out to relax and enjoy the more quiet and relaxing attractions in Sanford. We are wanting to visit Sanford for several reasons. One is their focus on creating an accessible community for all - regardless of any limitations they might have. As someone with Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis, I can get exhausted if I’m on my feet for too long and taking a break from rushing to and from rides and attractions at theme parks, to have a more leisurely experience will be exactly what I need. Additionally, my wife and oldest child are both on the Autism spectrum. They can get overwhelmed by sensory overload and large crowds - so a trip to Sanford will be a perfect way for them to recharge. This is what we hope to experience when we make our trip there this fall!

NewCity Coffee Co.

We want to start by going to NewCity Coffee to get our morning dose of caffeine and have a delicious breakfast (we hear their French Toast is incredible!) They also have a cozy, outdoor patio - which is always nice when dining with three children, 7 and under.

Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Our next stop will be the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. All five of us are huge nature lovers. Also, all of our favorite animals reside at this beautiful zoo. My oldest is obsessed with sloths, our middle loves any sort of wild cats - but especially leopards, me and my son love monkeys and my wife loves giraffes. We also plan on stopping by the barnyard petting zoo! While there, we will grab lunch at the Graze Kitchen.

Wondermade

After our trip to the zoo, before heading back to our hotel, we will make our final stop at the Wondermade Cafe to try their unique and beautifully made deserts. They specialize in gourmet marshmallow treats but also have special ice cream flavors like Maple Bacon and much more! My mouth is watering already. After all, it’s not a vacation without loading up on sugar and sweets.
