Tucked away, amidst the charming neighborhoods of Casselberry, Florida sits Secret Lake Park. As its name suggests, you would never know it was there if you didn’t know where to look. With a nature trail weaving through a beautiful, wooded walkway and three lakes, this park is the perfect place for a peaceful stroll through Orlando North, Seminole County.

Secret Lake Park has two fishing piers, a basketball court, racquetball court(s), tennis court(s), and a ball field, perfect for those looking for a beautiful space to play ball. The Casselberry Recreation Center can also be found at this location, where guests can enjoy daily recreational activities such as classes, clubs, and special events. Kayak and canoe rentals can be made by the hour so you can enjoy the views from the water.

Along the banks of each lake there are beautiful spots for practicing yoga, hosting picnics, or enjoying the Central Florida Sunshine. There is much to see and plenty of space to spend a day full of social distanced activities surrounded by nature.

Only a 10-minute drive from the park is Capacho’s Bar & Grill. This modern Colombian restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a delicious bite to eat while visiting Casselberry. As the natives know, the parking lot to this place is always full and the atmosphere is every bit inviting. Not only is the service top notch, but the food is even better.

You are sure to find anything to meet your cravings on the menu. We suggest starting off your meal with an authentic Columbian tropical juice. The passion fruit is a classic best seller, and the Lulo black berry is another great option, it is perfect for those who like a little sour punch in their beverages. These drinks are traditionally enjoyed mixed with cream, however, for those who are vegan or intolerant to dairy, they also suggest syrup and water to add a bit of sweetness. Either way, these drinks are delicious! The Guanabana is another flavor that is commonly asked for.

No matter your appetite, this menu will satisfy any level of hunger. Start off your meal with a trio of empanadas that you can choose between the chicken, beef, and calentado, or a variety of all three. For the seafood lovers, the Ceviche de Camaron is a great fresh option. The mixture of shrimp, red onion, green & red peppers, cilantro, lime juice, and fresh avocado is easily enjoyed until the very last bite. The Churassco is a great option for the hungrier ones in the party, as it is a huge portion of delicious food. The fire grilled skirt steak arrives on a sizzling cast iron patter topped with house-made chimichurri. It is served with a heaping side of rice and beans and yuca fries that add a satisfying crunch. Ask for the house ketchup for dipping and thank us later!
