Grab your Hawaiian shirt and get ready to celebrate at Wekiva Island’s annual Kona Luau. Indulge in an end-of-summer celebration and be transported to the tropical islands of Hawaii right along the Wekiva River from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 5. Challenge others in the hula hoop contest at 7 p.m. or sit back with a Kona Brewing Company brew and watch the traditional fire dancers at 7:30 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee for Wekiva Island but no additional cost to attend the Kona Luau.
