The Sanford River Rats are set to launch their summer season in the Florida Collegiate Summer League with a spectacular Opening Day celebration at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium, located at 1201 S Melonville Ave Sanford, FL 32771. The excitement begins on May 29th with a pre-game tailgate party from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, leading up to the first pitch at 7:00 PM against the Leesburg Lightning.

The Opening Day tailgate party promises fun for all ages. Attendees can enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music sponsored by Axis Promotions and The West End Trading Company, and a dedicated Kids Zone sponsored by Ladies327, Inc. This event marks the beginning of the Sanford Sizzlin’ Summer campaign, a collaborative effort by Sanford Main Street and The Chamber of Commerce to highlight the city’s vibrant summer attractions.
