BOOK A ROOM AT SPRING HILL SUITES ORLANDO NORTH IN SANFORD, FL.

If you’re looking for clean and spacious rooms, I highly recommend booking your stay at the Spring Hill Suites Orlando North/Sanford. We were completely comfortable in our room the whole time and never felt crowded. There were also great amenities (like the pool!) that the boys loved playing in during our downtime. It was a clean and safe place to rest our heads and put up our feet during the times that we weren’t exploring the town.

Every morning you can find a delicious continental breakfast that is up for grabs downstairs!

The best part is that your room will come equipped with a mini kitchenette area with a sink, microwave, fridge, and plenty of storage room for storing snacks. This was a lifesaver for us as we always have to have snacks for the boys.

PICK STRAWBERRIES AT PAPPY’S PATCH

Pappy’s Patch is a super fun experience and a great place to spend time picking gorgeously ripened strawberries with the family. Fill up a basket and pay for what you have picked! This tasty hands-on activity is a lovely way to get outside and explore the beauty of nature, while immersed in a sea of strawberries. Plus, they are delicious!

TAKE A PEEK AT GREEN ACRES FARM IN OVIEDO, FL

Show the kids the inner workings of a family farm! They’ll get to see cute goats, bunnies, pigs, and more. This family farm is an up-close and intimate way to see some of the small farm animals in their everyday lives.

To visit Green Acres Farm you must make an appointment in advance, as they do not allow day of walk ups.

PLAY AT THE DISTRICT EAT & PLAY IN OVIEDO, FL

Talk about hours of family fun! The District Eat & Play is located in the Oviedo Mall and is the perfect place to spend the day or celebrate a life event. Not only can you get some crazy good food options here, but you can also play arcade games, bowl, see live entertainment, toss an axe, and test your skills in their escape rooms. They also have a full bar and plenty of food for the kids to enjoy.

OVIEDO BREWING CO.

Located inside the Oviedo Mall, this place is great to visit after you have spent all day shopping around or playing at The District. The Oviedo Brewing Company has a wide array of craft beers that are made in house. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the brews being made, as the brew kettles are front and center when you walk in.

On top of amazing beer, they also have some of the best pizzas around! If you are able, try and stop by on a Sunday to check out their brunch menu.

VISIT THE OVIEDO FARMERS MARKET

The Oviedo Farmers Market is an absolute must-see! This market is held on the 1st Saturday of every month and features local artisans, professional artists, food vendors, fresh produce, and more! You’ll love being able to walk around and discover all of the local goods. This event brings the local community together and helps to showcase the Historic Lawton House, which was built in 1890.

FEELING HUNGRY? HEAD OVER TO HENRY’S DEPOT IN SANFORD, FL

If you’ve got an appetite, head to Henry’s Depot!

Located in the heart of gorgeous Historic Sanford, this family-friendly venue features a food hall, bar, and large outdoor patio. They often have live entertainment and events throughout the year.

Fun Fact: Henry’s Depot is actually an old train depot rebuilt in 1940 and is located on the site of Sanford’s original rail tracks. This structure once served as the freight depot for Henry Plants’ rail system which provided Florida orange growers better connections and cheaper access to Northern markets. This food hall is full of so many food options that you will absolutely cure any craving your family may have.

DHARMA FINE VITTLES

Whether you are vegetarian/vegan or not, Dharma Fine Vittles is sure to have something on their menu that you are going to love. They have the most amazing plant-based Fried Chick’n and vegan Mac N’ Cheese in town! They also have a wide array of vegan dessert offerings that are an amazing delight.

RIGHT NEXT DOOR, YOU CAN GRAB A BITE TO EAT AT OAK FLAME PIZZA

Do you have a pizza fan in your family? Oak Flame Pizza is a great option to grab a slice and chow down! They have a ton of awesome pizza toppings and choices here that everyone will be happy with.

LOCKSMITH ESCAPE GAMES

To finish out your staycation visit Locksmith Escape Games located at the Seminole Towne Center. They have several options for escape rooms ranging from super easy to highly advanced. For $30 a person, this experience is perfect for those who love a challenge. We tried out a very easy room, and while we got clues along the way, I have to say we all got a brain workout!
