Visitors to Orlando North are always excited by our abundance of the wilderness; crisp, fresh-water springs; uncrowded roads, restaurants, and attractions; and overall nature vibe, which provides an alternative to the bustling theme parks to our south. You’ll also appreciate the affordability of our 30-plus brand-name hotels, charming inns, and B&Bs — all without parking or resort fees, and many of them pet-friendly.

But we also know that most folks come to the Sunshine State wanting at least some beach time. Fortunately, it’s simple to do a side trip to the beach while you’re staying in Orlando North, Seminole County. The Atlantic Ocean is less than an hour’s drive, and that’s where you’ll find Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and the Space Coast beaches.

These world-class sand-and-surf destinations are so close, you’d be crazy NOT to plan a day at the beach. Enjoy a few sunny hours with your toes in the sand. Frolic in the surf, laze away in a beach chair, then pack it up and head back to your lodging in Orlando North. Maybe cap it off with a late dip in the pool, a drink, and a meal. If this doesn’t add up to a perfect day, we don’t know what does.

Here’s another thing we do know: Today’s travelers want to have fun safely. That’s why Orlando North has a set of protocols in place that include the most stringent sanitization of hotels and restaurants, as well as social distancing and the use of masks where warranted. Even better, our wide-open outdoor spaces are the perfect places to have fun away from the crowds.

Naturally, if you’re still willing to mask-up and enjoy Orlando’s theme parks while socially distancing, Orlando North makes it easy. We’re just a few miles north of the parks, and it’s a direct drive there and back. We’re the perfect location if you want to save money on hotels and meals, all while enjoying a respite from the crowds and traffic.

That said, there’s plenty of things to do right here in Orlando North! The activities are endless — as action-packed or serene as you like. You can hike in the wild through one of our many nature preserves, or bike along one of several long, paved trails that go through towns, neighborhoods and wooded areas. How does a thrilling airboat ride around Lake Monroe sound? Your captain will get you some amazing views of gators and other creatures. Another must-do experience: paddling the gorgeous, spring-fed Wekiva River — which stays a refreshing 72 degrees year-round.

You can enjoy a tasty meal, drinks, live entertainment and sightseeing on a cruise aboard the Rivership Barbara-Lee, an authentic, “sternwheeler” paddleboat. The vessel can accommodate nearly 200, but is heading out with fewer guests for enhanced safety. The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens — with its exotic animals and lovely grounds — is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the Sunshine State. Seminole Aerial Adventures, an excellent ziplining facility, is part of the zoo complex, so you can make a day of it. This is just a sampling of the good times you can have in Orlando North, Seminole County.
