Day 1
I was in the mood for a good breakfast so I decided to explore Orlando North. I went to The Tennessee Truffle in Sanford. It is a nice, charming place that’s perfect for a party of 1 or a group to sit down and enjoy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It is open concept and you can see straight back into the kitchen. The first thing I needed was my morning coffee as always. It was my very first time using a sugar cube which was really cool. On special that day was their Frittata. Great meal to get the day started.
Later that evening I visited Tuffy’s Music Box. This was a perfect place to wind down with a drink. I had to try their old fashion. It was made perfect in a nice glass. They have a beautiful beer garden in the back with lots of room and lights. In the beer garden you can also find some great food. I ordered a platter that had fried fish, fried shrimp, and french fries. This is a place you must visit.
Day 2
If you know me, I’m a gamer. I cannot believe I have never been to Arcade Monsters in Oviedo before. This is such a fun place for kids or adults. Fun for the whole family! There is so much to see and do. They have pinball, arcade machines, old and new consoles. As soon as I walked in, I had to try to get the high score on the NBA hoops machine. I did not but it was so much fun. After working up a sweat I went to the bar to have one of their cool dry ice drinks. These can be made with or without alcohol. They have Nintendo and Sega consoles at the bar so you can continue to game while you have a drink or bite to eat. So if you want something fun to do with the kids or with a group of adults this is the place to spend hours of fun.
Just a few minutes away, my next stop was to Oviedo Brewing. This is one of my favs to have a beer and bite to eat. Check out the beer flight and beer battered chicken tenders I had. The staff here is so friendly. They checked in on me to get my thoughts on the different beers I tried. They all were so good; I love beer flights because I can try a few different drinks at once.
Day 3
For this day exploring I started my day with a visit to Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford. Hollerbach’s is authentic German food and drinks. For my visit I had to go with their giant pretzel known as Riesen Brezen. This has to be the best pretzel I’ve ever had. And of course, had to pair it with a beer. The menus they give you are really cool too. Looks like a newspaper.
My next stop on my visit was to Wops Hops Brewing. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Cyn and she is the best! It was my first visit here and it was fun learning so much about Wops Hops from her. They are Sanford’s first brewery. Their building is 107 years old and the 5th most haunted building in Florida! Cyn helped me pick out beer for my flight and I loved them all. I got hungry so I decided to try the bbq chicken flat bread. It had nice chunks of chicken and went well with my beer. There is also a nice patio and you might even spot a dinosaur while you are out there.
