Perfect Game Partnership Is A Grand Slam for Seminole County
The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners has directed staff to finalize an agreement with Perfect Game, Inc., making the Boombah Sports Complex the Florida headquarters for Perfect Game and nearly doubling room night generation for Seminole County hotels.
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL. (July 28, 2020) – The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to finalize an agreement making Perfect Game, Inc. an anchor event organizer at the Boombah Sports Complex. Perfect Game, an Iowa based corporation, is the largest amateur baseball scouting and event service in the world, hosting amateur and youth baseball tournaments all over the country.
This performance-based agreement, which would commence in January 2021, provides Perfect Game mutually agreed upon dates to host more than 30 large baseball events annually at the Boombah Sports Complex. These tournaments are anticipated to draw more than 100,000 visitors, produce 40,000 room nights, and generate an estimated $25 million in economic impact for the local economy. The guarantee of 40,000 hotel room nights each year nearly doubles the current number of room nights generated by events held at the Sports Complex, currently standing at 23,000.
“As we expand our brand in the region, Perfect Game is excited to expand its relationship with Seminole County. Over the past three years, Seminole County has hosted multiple Perfect Game youth baseball events at the Boombah Sports Complex, which have generated more than 23,000 visitors, 10,000 room nights, and $9 million in economic impact.

The key is the proven track record of Perfect Game which produces over 200 million dollars in tourism annually.”
Seminole County will remain the day-to-day operator of the Sports Complex and field access for the local community will continue, as well as tournaments and events hosted by event organizers separate from Perfect Game. The Boombah Sports Complex opened in May 2016 and was built to drive tourism and economic impact for the county while also delivering a state-of-the-art venue for the local community to enjoy. Since opening, the Sports Complex has held more than 200 sports tournaments with 500,000 coaches, players, and visitors passing through the gates. These events generated more than 58,000 room nights and $80 million in economic impact for local business.

Visiting teams and their families will stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, and visit our attractions and local stores, bringing a much-needed boost to businesses within our county.”
Frank Cirrincione, Seminole County Tourist Development Council Vice-Chair and General Manager of the Hilton Orlando North in Altamonte Springs also added, “The hospitality community embraces the extended relationship with Perfect Game, and we look forward to providing outstanding and safe accommodations for the players and families who will be attending these events.”
The agreement between Seminole County and Perfect Game would begin in January 2021. This five-year agreement would run through December 2025 and proposes two additional five-year renewals at the option of both parties.
