So, grab your club and pick your course, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite golf outings for a relaxing day in Orlando North!
CASSELBERRY GOLF CLUB
Casselberry Golf Club offers high quality amenities and service on their gorgeously maintained greens. Their website allows you to book your tee times in advance, so that you have a guaranteed slot to get your game on. Their rates range from $21 to $36 depending on the day and time you plan to tee off. The golf club also has its own in-house concessions stand offering hot dogs, PBJs, ham and turkey sandwiches, as well as sodas, waters, and snacks to take with you on while you play. If you enjoy an evening game in the cooler air, you can take advantage of their lighted driving range, which allows you to practice your driving skills even after the sun goes down. The club is about 10 miles away from the heart of Casselberry, full of arts and restaurants that are sure to please everyone in your group.
WEKIVA GOLF CLUB
The Wekiva Golf Club has been a well-established course since 1972. Embedded in a beautiful woodland area, the greens are straightforward and laid out in a way that is appropriate for beginner, recreational, and experienced players. The club is open to the public as well as private members. The course features 18 pristine holes with strategically placed bunkers and mounding as well as bordered doglegs. Wekiva Golf Club’s rates start at $39 and cap at $65 depending on date and time of your game. Be sure to visit their website to book a tee time, and if you love it, consider signing up for a membership. The Wekiva Golf Club is only a five minute drive from Wekiva Island, a beautiful riverside oasis you can retreat to after your long day of play.
TIMACUAN GOLF CLUB
If you love golfing on scenic, wooded, and semi-private courses, you’ll love the gorgeous sunrise or sunset views at Timacuan Golf Club. The club offers different rates for different days and times, with their twilight hours being a budget friendly and beautiful sight for golfing (as long as you can finish all 18 holes before it gets dark!). Golf carts are included with golf fees, but ride-alongs are also offered for an additional fee. The Club also has a partnership with Eagle’s Dream Golf Academy for juniors who are interested in learning the fundamentals of the game. Additionally, the Timacuan Golf club is only two miles outside the trendy downtown Lake Mary area, full of great restaurants and quaint shops.
MAYFAIR COUNTRY CLUB
The Mayfair Country Club is a historical golf club with over 167 years of history amongst the beautiful oak trees of Sanford. Built back in 1922, The Mayfair Country Club is full of historic charm and is known for its professional hospitality. Many of its strategically placed oak trees were uprooted in the early 2000s by hurricanes, so the new courses are more open and beginner-friendly.
On each hole, there are four sets of tees ranging from about 5,000-6,500 yards, allowing each player to adjust their setup according to their skill level. The Club’s rates range from $18-$36 depending on the time of day, plus golf cart rentals are completely free. To top off your golfing experience here, the club has a great full-service restaurant. The Champions Grill at Mayfair Country Club offers an all-American menu and can accommodate private dining as well as large parties, banquets and events.
LAKE MARY TOPGOLF
If you just want to practice your swing at a driving range, or perhaps you’re with a group of novice golfers, Lake Mary TopGolf can be a great and exciting option that will entertain both experienced golfers and complete beginners. This new location is open and ready for guests to take a swing. Each party gets their own driving bay to golf from and relax in, with waitstaff ready to serve you from their full-service restaurant and bar right to your bay.
